Jim and Crystal are retired teachers who now have a second career in Big Jim Tours. Crystal taught elementary education for 33 years, while Jim taught high school social studies for 34 years. Jim had extensive experience in conducting tours before Big Jim Tours was founded in 2000.  For six summers he planned and conducted a tour to Washington, DC  for students from the school where he taught.  In 1976 he was employed as a tour escort for Lincoln Tour and Travel of Lincoln, NE. Jim conducted tours for them for 13 summers.  After Lincoln Tour and Travel ceased operations Crystal and Jim conducted several tours to New York and Washington after numerous requests from area residents.  In the year 2000 they formed Big Jim Tours because they were not ready for retiremnt and they enjoyed helping people experience the joy of travel.
